Pakistan ambassador inaugurates ‘Grace Versus Strength’ art showcase in Dubai
Shahzad Hassan Ghazi’s Mughal-contemporary fusion put on display at Leila Heller Gallery
DUBAI: Ambassador Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, Pakistan’s Ambassador in the United Arab Emirates, inaugurated the exhibition of Pakistani artist Shahzad Hassan Ghazi at Leila Heller Gallery, Alserkal Avenue, Al Quoz 1, Dubai.
The showcase, titled Grace Versus Strength, marks a milestone for the artist as his work features in one of the Gulf region’s largest art galleries.
Ambassador praises the artwork
Speaking at the event, Ambassador Tirmizi said he was delighted to see a Pakistani artist’s work displayed on such a platform.
He stressed that art, culture, music, and cuisine reflect national identity, while recalling iconic names like Sadequain, Ustad Allah Bux, Abdur Rahman Chughtai, Zubeida Agha, and Shakir Ali.

The ambassador praised Ghazi’s unique fusion of Mughal aesthetics with contemporary expression, noting its resonance with international audiences. Ghazi’s work was presented alongside artists from the United States, Iran, and other countries.

Who attended the event?
The opening drew art enthusiasts, Emiratis, expatriates, and members of the Pakistani community.
Shahzad Hassan Ghazi, acknowledging the envoy’s support, said he would continue to take inspiration from legendary Pakistani artists while projecting a positive image of the country through his art.
Diplomats, art lovers, and Pakistani community members across the UAE also attended the launch, adding to the vibrant atmosphere at Alserkal Avenue.
